The Dhara is built for transforming lives promising a better future. The fulcrum of Dhara is to find lasting solutions to overcome poverty and suffering of the unreached those are poor, weaker, marginalized and excluded sections of the humanity.
We believe that all the human – whoever they are, wherever they are – have the right to a healthy, happy & fulfilling life. And the belief that changes is within reach, if we have courage, determination, imagination and good organization. We know change is possible. To inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats human, and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.

This organization is involved in

Child Protection-The Child Protection Programme is a first priority of our mission and focuses on

1.Improving the understanding of the conditions of children in need of care and protection.

2.Supporting the development of community-based care and protection systems.

3.Providing Food, Shelter & Clothing, Healthcare and Education, Recreation (Hobbies, Sports/ Games) With Love & Care, Hope & Confidence, Independence & Discipline.

4.Supporting a school in Sikar in our quest to offer free education to over 250 underprivileged children, for the holistic development and we have rented yet another place to provide for the accommodation of 40 to 50 orphans. (Age Group: 2 yrs to 12 years).We aims to provide education to many more underprivileged children.

Women Empowerment- We believe that capacity building is a potent weapon that leads to genuine empowerment of women to fully realize their potential.

1.Educate children through partner’s schools, with a focus on the girl child (committees formed in each village with parents and well wishers as members to independently manage a support school), adult education for woman to improve functional literacy levels and provide vocational training for educated women.Computer education and traditional skill development for girls.

2.We support the capacity building efforts for individual women and young girls, through carrying out adult literacy, vocational and alternative livelihood trainings as well as in providing internship opportunities. Dhara ensures that the trainings and workshops extended are appropriate for the women’s skills, interests and circumstances

Save Earth- we might be harming ourselves in the years ahead as well, for nature has its own destructive way of getting back at us humans, the signs of earth’s displeasure with inappropriate and harmful activities of humans are now seen and felt all across the globe like the global warming, climate change, acid rain, drought, flash floods and other forms of natural catastrophes. Here are some practical and small ways that could help our planet get a sigh of relief.

1.Green Earth Clean Programme planted over ten thousand trees in Sikar Rajasthan in 2010-11 and we ask all of you to join and support the project to continue with a full strength that is an effort of planting of a million trees.

2.We create awareness towards our environment and thus insure a healthy future for our planet. The goal to raise the environmental awareness of all people is key to make lasting changes to help our environment.

All donations made to Dhara India are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G

Volunteers
