Subject: Tamarind Tree organises a charity event
Dear Friends,
Tamarind Tree, a registered not-for-profit, runs a school for tribal children in Sogve village, Dahanu, Maharashtra since 2010.
Located on a 3-acre chikoo farm in Sogve, the school has 100 children spread over Pre Primary and Class 1. Offering education in the coveted English language, the school has received a tremendous response from the community in a short span of time. We are expecting enrollment to increase by fifty percent in June 2012.
We are organising a charity event in Mumbai on Sunday, March 11th 2012 to raise funds to cover the operational costs of the school for the academic year 2012-13. Our per child cost for the new academic year works out to Rs. 14,500. The funds raised for the school will be used to cover the operational costs of at least 20 children.

We are grateful to Samhita for spearheading such an initiative & linking spaces in the city and performers for causes like ours.
Schitzengiggles, the stand-up artists are also performing for a cause and entirely pro bono. We'd like to thank them for this.
In addition, the venue is being provided courtesy The Bombay Store and we appreciate their generosity in giving the space for the programme as well as some refreshments and free gift vouchers to all audience members.
Many of you have been with us since the beginning of this journey and we hope to see you, your friends and family at the event.
