 What a great country India is. The German Residents approached Centurion Bank Of Punjab to issue them two FDRs for Rs 2 Lakh each in his and his wife's name. The staff of the bank how manipulated the documents and signed bundle of papers from him and his wife. That person is running from pillar to post after 5 years of making investment of Rs 2,00,000/= each total invested amount is Rs 4 lakh. After 5 years period both of them are being harassed to get the amount of Rs 1,21,000 (The amount which has been approved by the depositor in his name) and Rs 80,000/- (in the name of his wife). After 5 years period the long saga of his and his wife's hardships are as under. I have represented the case, let us see how the wind blows.

Sir,

We (Mrs. Satnam Kaur and Mr. Sukhdev Singh) are husband and wife and residing in Germany from the last so many years and getting harassed from Aviva Life Insurance co for no fault of ours. We are pleading to get whatever meager amount Aviva want to provide after so much harassment, but Aviva every now and then provide a new lacunae to harass the customers. Though Aviva has declared that Mrs. Satnam Kaur will get Rs 80,000 for the payment made of Rs 1,98,000/= after so many years which is acceptable, and Mr. Sukhdev Singh who will get Rs 1,21,000/= for the amount of Rs 1,98,000/- paid, which also been accepted but Aviva has been harassing the consumers by this pretext or other and at one point say that the cheque had been sent to your Indian address and with the instructions to Department of Posts the Registered Letter can not be delivered to any other person.  It is a hard fact that the person to whom the Registered Letter is being addressed if residing in Germany can not be delivered in any case. Aviva unnecessarily harassing the customers, on one side it keeps day light robbery and on the other side the harassment continues for not for one day but years.

Aviva Life insurance which is aimed at facilitating public in the easy processing of documents for payment in case of Surrender of Policies but the said company has been harassing the customers from more than one year on one pretext to other to make payment of Rs 80,000/= as per Mrs. Satnam Kaur’s deposit of Rs 99,000 paid twice (Rs 1,98,000/=), leave aside the amount deposited and the interest from 2007 onwards. The company is not making payment of Rs 99,000/- even and the parties are being harassed from the last more than one year.

Whenever the consumers visit Phagwara office of the company the long list of requirements has been submitted to the consumer to provide details how the payment has been made, provide bank statements this or that, when one requirement is completed, list of another two requirements submitted to the consumer. Then the consumer is being harassed there is discrepancies in the submission of cheques details that you have paid amount to AVIVA. Provide exact details of payment. What a nonsense. When the amount is being shown in the credit side of Aviva then why  this unnecessary harassment.

The company has never provided the list of deficiencies and requirements in writing. Whenever the consumer provide the documents sought the company never accept those documents and provide further list to harass. Kindly provide the details of required documents and deficiencies and make payment to us at the earliest.

PROVIDE FOLLOWING DETAILS IN WRITING TO CONSUMERS:

  1. When the consumers have been provided complete details of required documents to be submitted and what documents the consumer has submitted to the company and why not the company accept the those documents and provide details in writing regarding the further requirement.
  2. How the consumer who resides in Germany can receive company’s Registered Letter and when after so many representations made the company why not give heed to his/ her pleadings.
  3. Provide me all the details of documents delivered to the consumer.  Mr.  Sukhdev Singh has not been delivered original policy documents till date. But the company keep on harassing the couple for no fault of the consumers.
  4. How much period of delay has been made in making payment to consumers and whose fault is that the company is not making payment on one pretext or other.
  5. Why not the company heed to the requests of the  more than hundred rounds made to company office by Mr. Amarjit Singh of Sardar Music House, Railway Road, Phagwara and more than 20 rounds by Mrs. Satnam Kaur the consumer to pay the amount to her which has been due on account of her deposit and her husband’s deposit.  The consumers and the well wishers come to Phagwara office of Aviva Life Insurance co, Phagwara branch pedaling all the way from Railway Road and the lady has especially come to sort out the dispute from Germany but the company has been harassing her and not providing help to sort out the dispute. Every now and then a fresh date is being provided that the amount of Rs 80,000 and Rs 1,21,000 will be provided to the consumer but every day the consumers went back empty handed.
  6. When the consumers ask why the payment is not being made to them a new lacunae is being provided to the customers. The attendant says that the files are lying with Gurgaon office. On request the consumer said that we are ready to go to Gurgaon to get the payment, the representative says that the amount will not be delivered to you from there, it will reach as per company’s convenience to your address.
  7. We are a bit furious and even told the company staff that it was their duty to inform us on our cellphone about the delay if any and the required short documents in writing but you people on every round provide list of new requirements to harass the public.
  8. It is requested to the authorities that they should have added two more days as waiting period but on the day particular date for delivery of payment should be provided. This way it would have at least saved our precious time and energy. Secondly the German Permanent resident lady has been harassed by Aviva for which the complaint will be lodged to the appropriate authorities and  NRI Cell of Punjab Police for the harassment made to her, if the payment of said deposits have not been made to the consumers.

RELIEF SOUGHT:

  1. Kindly provide me the exact date of delivery of my payment
  2. The consumers are German Resident and so it is not so easy for Germany’s resident to come again and again to collect such a meager amount for which they have been harassed.
  3. The consumer has come not hundred but lakhs of Kms to get the payment, but to no avail. The company has never bothered to inform the consumer, to get the payment’s cheque from  our Phagwara office. Kindly direct the concerned officials to pay the amount in hand within 15 days of the delivery of this application.
  4. The customer can be alerted vide SMS even but company has never taken initiative.
  5. The company should come forward to save precious time and energy of the consumers by making rounds to the office.
  6. The software can be installed in the company which should send SMS to the consumers regarding their payments and other details.
  7. Kindly instruct the company’s officials to make payment at the earliest.

SUB: COMPLAINT AGAINST AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE—FRAUD MADE WITH CUSTOMERS AND NOT MAKING PAYMENT OF MEAGRE AMOUNT AFTER DEFRAUDING CUSTOMERS.

Sir,

The customers have been running pillar to post to get the meager amount of refund which has been left out by fraudulent transactions made by the customers with Aviva Life Insurance company in connivance with Centurion Bank Of Punjab. When the customers approached the bank branch the said officials of Centurion Bank of Punjab had promised to provide them Fixed Deposit Receipts but the customers came to know about the fraud when they came to know about the money hotch-potched by the said company.

The customers are being harassed from more than one year and they have not been provided funds remained after making fraudulent transactions of more than two lakhs rupees. Now the company is not refunding Rs 2 Lac even after so many years and playing gimmicks with the consumers.

The customers have submitted all the required documents several times to the company office but the payment has not been released by the company so far.

Till date the consumers are being harassed for no fault of their.

Though the fraud has been made by the customers but till date the company is not making refund of the amount.
