Over last few days lot of people have been asking me about Old age homes in Bangalore, so I decided to do a small post on it. Here I have put down some whom I am aware of, there might be many more. Do add in others if you are aware of.
Note: The phone numbers stated below may not always be updated with latest ones, specially considering that some of them keep shifting from one place to another because of lack of funds. But for any additonal information feel free to drop a mail at goli-at-ngopost-dot-org

This place is behind IIM, and it is run by an lady called Geeta Shankar. Om Aashram is a home to about 20 people. I had gone there once and I remember we had met a lady there who apparently was a freedom fighter. She knew how to ride the horse, and had met Indira Gandhi in person.

Navchetana is not exactly an old age home, it is a home for mentally disabled. They take care of the neglected people, needy people. They try to arrange activities, like making sweaters from wool, or paper stuff. This is an effort of one single lady, Lizzie madam. She has been struggling with funding and has been forced to move from one place to another in bangalore. Right now the home has about 12 permanent residents.
The website link is here, and you can reach Lizzie madam at 9448162661
