The National Trust invites you to celebrate World Disability Day
The National Trust in association with ARUNIM is celebrating the International Day for Disability on December 4, 2010.
The National Trust is an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India working for the welfare of people with disabilities like - autism, mental retardation, cerebral palsy or multiple disabilities.
ARUNIM or Association for Rehabilitation under National Trust Initiative of Marketing is a Marketing Federation to promote products made by such persons.
Badhte Kadam 2009 an initiative of the National Trust was a major awareness campaign last year to raise awareness of the disability sector. Its objective was to provide information on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), provide understanding of Natonal Trust programmes and schemes, to celebrate diversity and to focus on discoverabilities.
The overwhelming success of Badhte Kadam 2009 has led to Badhte Kadam 2010. This nationwide campaign started on November 16.
December 4, 2010 will be celebrated as World Disability Day and will also mark the culmination of Badhte Kadam 2010. You can be a part of this movement and support the initiative by attending the World Disability Day event at:
