The Rural Education and Economic Development for Social Action Trust (REEDSA) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization with its main functional base in Oddanchatram area of Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu, S. India. The Organization has been involved in series of rural development and environmental conservation related interventions.

REEDSA Trust has been rendering service in the fields of education environment, Vocation/skill training to Youths, Women empowerment, Human Rights, Agriculture all those marginalized and disadvantaged people in remote and hilly areas of Dindigul District.

The following are the programs:

National Environmental Awareness Campaign:  *
Under the scheme of NEAC the Organization conducts environmental  awareness campaigns in funding partnership with the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India and the PEACE Trust, Dindigul. The resource persons highlight the theme of climate change in all these Campaigns.
*Naturopathy & Yoga Program:*
People suffer a lot of side-effects due to usage of modern medicines. In order to promote the Naturopathy health care the Organization conducts awareness program on Naturopathy & Yoga which is funded by the National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune.
*Educational Program:*
The Organization has been implementing a Program called Sarva Siksha Abhiyan> [SSA] – Education for All. Under the SSA, the Organization runs Residential School for drop-out children. We also conduct free evening tuition centers in more than 5 villages. The children are provided free note-books, bags, uniforms and writing materials. Component under SSA interventions include running Child Parliament for school students for bringing them as productive citizens.
*Women SHG Training: *
The Organization implements a variety of training and capacity building events for the benefit of the women under the Self Help Groups in order to uplift them to achieve their socio-economic advancement.
*Eye Camp:*
The Organization conducts free Eye Camps for the benefits of old age people with the collaboration of Tharapuram Lutheran eye hospital. The screened patients are taken for surgery, treatment and supply of spectacles and medicines free of cost.
*AIDS Awareness Program:  *
AIDS is the killer disease of human community. Because AIDS have no curative medicines, the Organization conducts HIV/AIDS prevention program for rural people.  We educate them on the causes of HIV/AIDS and how to prevent free from HIV/AIDs. We distribute HIV/AIDS related reading materials which are published by Tamil Nadu AIDS Control Society, Chennai
*Consumer Awareness:*
In order to promote the awareness on consumer goods in rural areas we arrange consumer awareness program for women in rural areas. We educate them on identification of quality goods, exact price, expiry date, consumer rights, consumer laws and adulteration of consumer goods.
*Youth Day Program:*
Youths are the effective tool for the development of the changing world. So we organize a training program for youths on youth day.  We train them on leadership quality and skill development. Group discussion also held in the session. All the youths actively participate the program.
*Farmers training Program*
“Food for all” is our watch word.  Due to high usage of chemical inputs food grains were change it into poison.  These food grains lead the people into ill health.  In order to provide healthy food for the people we organize farmers training for rural farming community. We advise them to adopt the traditional farming system for the production of healthy food with-out poison by usage of bio manure and bio pesticide. Organic manure production demonstration from agricultural and domestic wastes also held in the program.
*Mother and child Care*
In order to generate more awareness on mother and child care we conduct the same program for young mother’s we have advised the, to keep the preventive care for the mother and child. It will help them to protect the physical health of mother and child.
