Watch a touching account of a passionate educator explain the importance of his work to people.
Mr. Rogers was the host of the internationally acclaimed children's television show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, in production from 1968 to 2001. In 1969, when Nixon proposed the funding cut to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), producing the show; Rogers made his case in front of senate hearing, and won 20Million$ for CPB in 6 minutes! Sometimes nice guys do win :-)

Also watch this clip, to feel deep connection children felt towards of his show.
